JTDX is inserting the 5th and 6th letters "LM" into some Grid Squares when a callsign is inserted into JTDX. I had to correct about 30 to 40 log entries that were logged this way. The new JTDX is inserting more GS data but it is inserting "LM" in error on many logged entries. I have notified Igor about this situation. Just thought those of you that may be using the new version may be able to check this before you log the QSO. 73 Morris WA4MIT Hello Arvo All the calls is this attachment had "LM" in the grid square before I looked up each call and corrected each. Those remaining I could not find so the LM remains. There were about this many more with LM but they were from before Sept/8/23 when I started using RC4 and doing a spot check of these showed the LM to be correct for each call checked. So this seemed to show that this started with the new JTDX. Attachments:

Please a example (callsign where LM was added to the grid).JTDX uses built in callsign grid database where can be until 10 char grids. Database is built based on psk reporter data, when user is set more precise grid in config and enabled psk reporting. More precise grid is essential to determine US states from callsign.

Here are attachments showing exactly what is happening. QRZ and QRZCQ shows the GS for OM2AOA as JN88ou and JN88ou came up in JTALERT then when it was logged it has been changed to JN88lm. Attachments:

All others LM-s except for OM2AOA were coming from jtdx database, but have no idea from where was coming grid for OM2AOA. When back from vacation will have a closer look.

So how do all the rest of us get access to RC versions? 73 Gavin ZL3GAV Once a group of Hams been selected / registered as beta testers. 'Beta testing' makes only sense, if a.) the number of attendees is not endless and b.) they should been involved in previous test, to compare and report.
Be aware, in the RC versions are minor additional functions and solved bugs, there are no features and functions that will make you jump full of joy ;-)

I'm seeing the same issue here, eg: JA8GAK sent QN22. rc4 displays QN22lm, QRZ shows QN22ex.

Now investigated LM situation, all those were coming from data we got from psk reporter, how they get there I don’t know. I rebuilt grid_data.bin and uploaded it to sourceforge. Rc4 users should just update database in jtdx. Propably deleted also some correct lm-s. Tnx Morris wa4mit for reporting this.

A follow up report: Seeing a few of this LM problem pop up again today I had this happen with two separate callsigns within 15 minutes operating time and only 6 contacts apart and on different bands. There may not be as many as before but any is really too many. Again this was replacing correct letters with incorrect ones LM in both cases.

This info does not help at all, only exact callsigns and always is question what is correct grid.

All these are from Oct. 25 & 26 M7IWW JO01OT, OH1VR KP11QU, IK3XZY JN65CN and these two had worked before so it overruled existing good GS`s VU2FGQ NL42FS, DF9JS JO31ME. Did another GS search and found these below I missed while logging DF8DU JO31OI, EA5FYO JN12CC, JN1EJH PM96NH, UA9FFV LO87CX, JR1EMO PM95QU, F6BNX JN33OF, OZ3MDS JO45WU, CO6DS FL02AJ. I again checked several older GS with LM and they all checked correct so this started with RC4 release.
