Hi y'all Maybe I overlooked it. I was looking for a possibility to receive all posts on the JTDX forum to my email. I also would prefer to be able to post , using my email client. That would allow me to filter and sort the posts into my tree according to my scheme of organization. At least this what I was doing as long as JTDX discussion was manage by means on groups.io. Is that possible and can it be unlocked in the setup or is that a "no-can-do"?
I was happy with Usenet and having to be subscribed to so many fora and having to get used to the intricancies of so many different forum software does not make life easier - no, not really.

Hi Elke,
If you edit your profile, then go to notifications and you can configure what you want to receive by email. I have for example configured daily for new post and new thread. I will get a daily email with all new subjects and posts (clickable).
I hope that helps

Thank you Rick,
of course I saw that and adjusted it to what I thought it might be. What I get are notifications by email that there is a new thread and that there are new messages etc. but the posts itself are not sent by email. This is unfortunate because then I always have to logon into the forum. That is time consuming and thwarts my intention to have everything in one place - sorted in a tree. This is somewhat like somebody calls me by phone to tell me that he sent a FAX to alert me that he sent me an email and have I read it? groups.io is not ideal but it was so much better than this forum software. I just counted the mailing lists I'm on including the fora which I registered to: 46 If I had to log-in to 46 different fora to follow my interests I - I - I wouldn't know what to do - maybe become not interested in anything anymore?

Rick and all,
I found the RSS feed. Not exactly what I need but at least reading the feed needs less 'clicks' in my RSS aggregator than loggging on by means of the browser and clicking through the threads. Well ... or still not so well ... Maybe one of these days the forum software gets an update and then incorporates some sort of a mailinglist.

Hi Elke,
yes the RSS feed was my next suggestion ... I know what you mean, I had all the emails from groups.io in a single folder which allowed me easy access and search. The forum is just a different approach...
I stored my userid password in chrome, so i dont have to login everytime though ... That might speed it up for you a bit (too many logins nowadays!)

I too am happy we have a forum of some sort. However, this one is a little awkward. Unlike Elke, I haven't found the RSS feed yet - hi!
I realize that the original Groups.io package was David's. But, has anyone entertained the thought of opening a temporary JTDX_temp group on the Groups.io site in the interim?

Hi Rick,
Yes the RSS feed was not easy to find. Go to the Home page and scroll down to the "Forum Information & Statistics" section and you will see it there.
Also happy to see this Forum.

I agree that this forum is somewhat awkward. I also agree that the groups.io was easier / better to use.
