Hello,
I am using a FT-911A and 2 converters on QO-100 :
- Downconverter with 144.500 MHz IF
- Upconverter with 144.000 MHz IF
To do FT8 I need consequently to receive on 144.540 (VFO-A) and transmit on 144.040 (VFO-B) and it works fine.
Now I would like the real transmit frequency to be sent by UDP to Logger32.
I have set an offset of -2255.5 MHz on the 13cm and using that band displays 2400,040. Fine!
But every time JTDX goes TX, all the windows (receive, QSO, preformated messages) are reset.
My understanding is that JTDX considers that is a band change (RX on 13cm but TX on 2m) and clears everything like it does when the user changes the band manually.
Can I avoid that?
Thanks for your help, 73
JB

I have no experience with SAT at all, but You should set Frequency-s (2.400.040 and 10.489.540 ) and Station information for 13 and 3 cm bands as in attached picture. Then selecting 2.400.040 from band menu should tune rig to 144.000. manual split should remain, on tx rig uses vfob with 144.500
This should not cause a band change clear windows. BTW easy solution For You may be disabling this clear from mainwindow Misc menu.
or should offesets set so
then selecting 2400.040 will tune rig to 144.500

Hi Arvo, The offset are declared bor both sat bands. Thanks for the tip on the Misc menu. However, something is still wrong. The windows aren't cleared but the QSO fails, it loops forever : And of course when I select the 2m band, the QSO is made easily. 73 JB Attachments:

Hmm, this is strange, Why JTDX does not send RR73?? Can You enable decoded and debug messages in Settings/Reporting tab and send me fragment of ALL file for looping QSO, or even more better install debug version of jtdx and send debug files. Meanwhile I try to understand how this is possible, should have something with band name detection from freq.
Inspected code, reading debug messages enabled ALL.txt file should be enough for detecting problem. Somehow on every tx band change is detected. What Freq show JTDX when tx is on?

Hi Arvo, Here is an example of looping QSO with G4GIR. Also attached the debug log. The frequency is set to 10.489.040 and during TX it is 144.040 73 Edit: the symptoms are the same whatever the RX band (3cm or 13cm). 20221223_134815 -11 0.7 1690 ~ F8DQL G4GIR IO92 20221223_134834.099(0) Transmitting 10489.54 MHz + 1040Hz FT8: G4GIR F8DQL -11 20221223_134845 -8 0.6 833 ~ CQ ON1GL JO21 20221223_134845 -8 0.8 1692 ~ F8DQL G4GIR R-07 ^ 20221223_134900.122(0) Transmitting 10489.54 MHz + 1040Hz FT8: G4GIR F8DQL -11 20221223_134915 -7 0.7 1696 ~ F8DQL G4GIR R-08 20221223_134915 -6 0.9 767 ~ F8DQL F5IGF JN07 20221223_134915 -4 0.8 2155 ~ F8DQL DL0NOT JO40 20221223_134930.102(0) Transmitting 10489.54 MHz + 1040Hz FT8: G4GIR F8DQL -11 20221223_134945 -5 0.8 2154 ~ F8DQL DL0NOT JO40 20221223_134945 -11 0.8 1696 ~ F8DQL G4GIR R-04 20221223_134945 -6 1.0 1653 ~ F8DQL OE6MMF JN77 20221223_134945 -1 0.6 1864 ~ CQ HA7NB KN07 ^ 20221223_134945 -11 0.6 849 ~ IK5DFE SP6VGJ R+00 ^ 20221223_135000.090(0) Transmitting 10489.54 MHz + 1040Hz FT8: G4GIR F8DQL -11 20221223_135015 -9 1.0 1656 ~ CQ OE6MMF JN77 20221223_135015 -9 0.8 1699 ~ F8DQL G4GIR R-05 20221223_135015 -3 0.6 1866 ~ CQ HA7NB KN07 ^ 20221223_135015 -4 0.8 2155 ~ F8DQL DL0NOT JO40 20221223_135015 -7 0.9 767 ~ F8DQL F5IGF JN07 ^ 20221223_135030.063(0) Transmitting 10489.54 MHz + 1040Hz FT8: G4GIR F8DQL -11 Attachments:jtdx_debug.txt (89.78 KB)

Presumably the rig polling is returning a different frequency? So maybe jtdx should not detect band change during PTT?

Ok tnx, now all clear, offset is not used in one place of detecting band name. Will let You know, when have fixed this.
