Good morning
I use this set: JTDX-JTAlert-Log4OM
In Log4OM I work on the RDA award (Russia District Award) and in Log4OM for it to take this RDA into account, you need 2 things:
1) The RDA in the comment field
AND
2) The "State" field
unfortunately this State field is not provided by JTDX we can only use the "Comment" field
Wouldn't it be possible to have the possibility to visualize and modify this State field when validating a QSO in JTDX?
Because I guess it's JTDX that sends the ADIF frame to JTAlert and JTAlert sends this frame back to Log4OM
Would it be a real plus if we could access this State field from JTDX?
Thank you for your opinions 73

Will add state field. Already implemented us states support from decoded messages and notification for new ones. Indeed, combination of primary/secondary geographic subdivision is absolutely necessary for support of many awards and, more important, various regional contests. It's possible to squeeze both parameters into 16 bit field (instead of QTH locator) if pre-determined tables of such subdivisions are used. I mean States/counties in the US, Oblast/Region in Russia, Prefecture/Municipality in Japan, etc., When such feature is implemented, it opens the use of FT4/8 in all US QSO parties and many other international contests, like RDA. Let's discuss it in more details, we have support for this feature at hamlog.online with the agent, just need to have proper API on JTDX (or WSJT-X) side.

I also use JTDX+JTAlert+Log4OM. Note that JTDX can send ADIF's directly to Log4OM, which is how I have it set up, and it works well. Is there a specific reason to let JTALert handle the logging instead?
As for State indications... I would also like to see JTDX add the state in in the RS pane just like WSJT-Z does...
