I just installed JTDX. I am using it with an old Kenwood TS50s. Ith a rig control cable connected. Been using this exact set up with FT8 flawlesssly. However with JTDX it receives fine. When I hit transmit it says I'm tranmitting but I am not. The rig is not being told to transmit. What did I miss.

Michael, you say "...this exact set up with FT8 flawlesssly". So, I guess, you mean FT8 with WSJT-X works flawless (? ? ?) JTDX and WSJT-X having the same rig control setup. If you note or copy your WSJT-X setting, use the same in JTDX. "The rig is not being told to transmit." If you go to the 'File' 'Settings' 'Radio' tab, there are two buttons to check your settings in JTDX. A click on : "Test CAT" must go to green and "Test PTT" must go to red and initiate your TS50 into TX mode.
In the right uper corner of the JTDX screen, there is a 'Pwr' slider and further down below a 'Tune' button. Click on the Tune button and move the slider further up to adjust the audio input level for your TS50
73's de OE1MWW Wolfgang P.S. In case of problems, please don't make the mistake of 'un-install' and 're-install with JTDX un- and reinstalling JTDX will not change anything. JTDX installation is a simple copy into the chosen directory plus openening a directory in C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\JTDX\ (xxx = your name) at the first start. Uninstall will not delete/remove this directory. Next install JTDX is looking for the files in this directory and use them again. If you want to start JTDX with 'clean' settings, delete in this directory the JTDX.ini (or rename it) and start JTDX again. Now you have to enter all settings again.

Check your settings in WSJT-X and compare them to JTDX. You must have something different. PTT Type Mode Audio Output selection.

Thanks very much. Problem solved. I had re checked all radio settings but forgot to check the level of transmit. Had the same issue when setting up FT8 with wsjtx. One would think I'd remember that. So thanks for the reminder .... as I go away tail between my legs..
