I have an 18 core Intel 10980XE processor overclocked to 4.7gHz with 64gb RAM, even with stock settings my lag is around +0.80-0.90. Switching on SWL will see the lag rise to around +2. I have the FT8 threads set to auto. I think lower specced computers run better, perhaps JTDX needs some optimisation for high thread count processors.

Mark, there are several possibilities, why this happens: - so called 'anti virus' software can slow dow the PC. Try to switch them OFF - in JTDX are many settings to be used, please have a look at the table

Strangely, increasing decode attempts solved the problem.

From what I can see in the code the SWL cycles should be set to 1. All it does is increase the time window I guess for operators whose clocks are way off. And the SWL setting does have an effect on lag time.
