I'm currently on Ocracoke Island, NC (NA-67). I changed my call in the log to WB8YJF/4, put in the grid and all I see when calling CQ is CQ WB8YJF/4 - no grid being transmitted. I think this is a fairly rare grid (FM25AC), so I think if I was transmitting the grid while CQn I would get more takers. What am I missing?

Protocol does not allow ( not enough bits) to transfer grid data for most nonstandard callsigns ( what /4 is).

OK, that's kind of what I thought. Oh well.

I’d be more likely to check your info on qrz Jon if your grid was missing or, indeed, even if it was on show. Wish I’d caught up with you though as it’d be a new one for me!
