Good day, I suggest to have the colour code for "worked one" to be aware of the band currently used rather than an overall view. It is no point showing calls "worked" on 6 Meters which I have worked before on HF bands, but which are still of interest on 6 Meters to me.

Adi,
your wish - with respect - a good idea. But what about 2m, 70cm or other bands. Have a look into the frequency table "File" "Settings" "Frequencies" how many entries and modes we can select. The combinations will be endless.
Using a exernal Log Software via CAT may help.

Wolfgang, I was only talking about a "per band" modification, not per "band and mode", so there are not that much combinations.

Wolfgang, I was only talking about a "per band" modification, not per "band and mode", so there are not that much combinations. 73 de Adi DL1EZ Adi, in any case, if just compared per band, some will come up and complain - this was a B4 - but in another mode - Besides this, most DXpeditions using their own frequency, that makes the 'per band' check even more complicated.
FT4/FT8 is a very time critical process. Think that you are aware, decoding in not done 'on the fly', as in charcter based coding like PSK31. The whole cycle is stored in a .wav file and analyzed and decoded at the end of a cycle. Each TX cycle lasts 13 seconds and within the two remaining seconds all the decoding and 'worked B4' check has to be done. Log size has an huge impact on wading through all records.
Therefore we have the 'Lag' indicator on top of the decoding window in JTDX, to check the process time. Many CPU /operating systems are not able to finish within time, the 'Lag' info will give an info about that.
I am not sure if developers can squeeze another check in this small time gap.

There no problem with speed, anyway all checks are done. I just don’t understand, why is important to have different colours for band and mode new calls. Anyway there lot of colours to remember currently. Worked one is remaining of determined new checks, this is difference in jtdx. Personally newer used colour for worked ones, it’s enough to have colour notification for any new type. I don’t like colour music.
Maybe I still not understand what Holger really mean.

My intention was to be alarmed if there is new call on the active band (imho there is no use in showing "worked on any other band"). From WSJT-X settings dialogue I sse that they are having individual colours for -new call as well as new call on band -new dxcc as well as new dxcc on band -new grid as well as new grid on band so the timing can't be that critical, can it?
