Just a heads up! I've been playing with JTDX on MacOS Sonoma Beta 7. Although JTDX appears to run (receive and decode), it immediately crashes if I receive a call to my CQ, or if I click on a callsign to connect to. I also try a reinstall including recopying the plist file, but same results. Hopefully it will be an easy fix?

Run jtdx from command prompt, hopefully there is some info, why jtdx crashes. Strange is that decoding is working, but when some call to You received, then it crashes. In general crash should also occur when you manually enter some callsign into Dx Call window.

Hi Arvo ... I reverted back to Ventura after I missed Easter Island on 20m!

In general crash should also occur when you manually enter some callsign into Dx Call window. Hi Arvo, I installed the Sonoma Release Candidate today, and no change in the issue I reported earlier. The app closes immediately when I do one of the following: - Click on callsign to connect - Have a callsign attempt to connect to me following my CQ - Enter a callsign to connect to in the DX Call box I ran the app from the command line, but that just launches the app. There are no logs created and I checked the MacOS console as well and found nothing following each sudden termination of the application. I tried both v2.2.159 JTDX and JTDX Improved and the results were the same with both. 73, de Paul K1ABC

Strange, should be seen some info in command prompt window from where jtdx was launched when it crashes.

Hi Arvo,
I removed all JTDX and WSJTX files (except my adi log file) and reinstalled a fresh copy off SourceForge. All is working fine now! There could have been corrupt files or something else.

Hi, I have the same problem as K1ABC. However, I don't have the beta, but the finished MacOS Sonoma. I tried the same thing, deleting all data and reinstalling everything. Unfortunately, the problem still exists that the program closes automatically as soon as you double-click on a callsign. Is there another solution? WSJTX, however, runs perfectly. 73, de Michael DO1MRK

I'm using "JTDX Improved." The filename is jtdx-2.2.159_improved_Darwin-x86_64.dmg
I removed all instances of JTDX and WSJTX and installed the above version and it has worked fine. There are two versions of "JTDX Improved" and the other one appeared to be problematic. If you do remove the other instances, do not delete /Library/Application Support/JTDX.
This solution also worked for Michael DO1MRK.

Hello, I have installed JTDX version 2.2.159-32 for the first time on my MacBook Pro m2 with SONOMA. The problem is that when I start the program it gives me this error message UNABLE TO CREATE SHARED MEMORY SEGMENT. Do you know why it can be. Thank you

Paul, forgive my ignorance, I am new to MAC and I don't really know how to uninstall the application. I sent it to the trash, I reinstalled another version, jtdx-2.2.169-32A-ODarwin-x86-64.dmg and it still gives me the same error, so I guess I didn't uninstall the previous application properly. Can you help me. Another thing, with the program installed, the /Library/Application Support/JTDX folder does not appear.
Thank you EA1AHA Juan Carlos

On startup, I get the following: qt.qpa.fonts: Populating font family aliases took 174 ms. Replace uses of missing font family "MS Shell Dlg 2" with one that exists to avoid this cost. 2024-01-05 21:35:25.310 jtdx[4383:213837] WARNING: Secure coding is not enabled for restorable state! Like others, I've had to move to jtdx-improved which seems to work w/o issue.

Since you are using an M2 Mac, the file and install might be different. 73, Paul K1ABC
