Hello,
I’m having an issue when using JTDX with my G90. I configured the radio with exactly the same settings I’m using in WSJT-X and JS8Call, but in JTDX, i noticed that when the radio starts transmitting, PTT is released after around 1 second of transmission.
Playing around with the settings I found out that this seems to be an issue related to the poll interval. If I select a higher poll interval, then the radio works fine. That is, if I select a 2s poll interval, PTT is always released after 2 seconds, if I select a 3s poll interval, after 3 seconds, etc. So to be able to transmit, I need to put a 60-90s poll interval to be on the safe side with all the modes I use. This creates its own problems, as if I accidentally move the VFO knob on the radio, the frequency is not updated in JTDX.
I don’t know if this is a bug with CAT control (maybe JTDX accidentally sends the PTT release command when polling the radio) or if I’m missing something. I use RTS as the PTT method (no other method works for me, not even on WSJT-X or JS8Call), and with exactly the same settings the radio works fine in WSJT-X, which is a shame as I was trying JTDX and prefer it.
Thank you and merry christmas to everyone

Okay, as soon as I have time, I'll try to get the debug log. I quickly went through the video and noticed I forgot to say I was using macOS. Might try on windows to see if I have the same problem. Also, I can't seem to be able to update Hamlib, as it's a compiled .dylib file inside the .app package. Tried replacing it with the .dylib file where hamlib is stored in wsjt-x but as expected, the app wasn't opening so I put the original one back in.
However, yesterday I had an idea on what could be the problem. I'm using an XGGComms Digimode-4 interface which includes the audio interface and the CAT control all through one USB port. This interface can also put the G90 to Tx by grounding the PTT cable included in the accessory port that plugs on the back of the radio using the RTS command, and that's the PTT method I use in the apps (as triggering PTT via CAT is not working for me, only the physical PTT using the RTS command). So maybe the problem isn't CAT, but that JTDX is setting RTS to high (which stops PTT) before sending the poll command via CAT.
I'll have to do some testing to confirm this (I'm fairly new to this), when I can get my hands back on my radio. I'll also try to pull out the logs.
