Hi All,
Thank you for releasing the new samples.
I have tried the 32bit audio sample files uploaded on Jan 6.
down load from Home/samples/32bit_audio/FT8
"230322_144345.wav"
The version of JTDX used v2.2160-32A-rc4.
PC is Windows 11 Pro (64) i5-8400
The result,
when AGCc off, there were 102 decodes.
with AGCc on 103 decodes.
Could you please tell me how many signals are recorded in this file?

Files are real live recordings from March 22 2023 , recorded with AGC off with SunSDR using TCI audio. How many signals there, nobody knows.I get from those files usually 104-105 decodes. 73! Arvo ES1JA

Arvo-san,
I changed the FT8 Decoder parameter.
FT8thread = Auto FT8 decoding cycles = 3 QSO RX freq scensitivity = high decoder sensitivity = use subpass AGCc = ON
The result of these combinations is Lag=+8.37/106
I remembered my previous test. It seems backwards, but when I reduced the FT8threads, the number of decodes increased. So, I set FT8thread to 1. The result found Lag=+14.20/107
This too long decoding time makes it impractical. However, when specializing in the number of decodes, setting the thread to 1 seems promising.

I use threads=5 cycles=2 rx freq sensitivity=medium ( high can be used in very quiet environment) decoder sensitivity=use low thresholds ( it is much faster than subpass but usually same count of decodes) cpu Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz os linux
This gives for me 99% periods negative Lag value, this is most important thing, have Lag negative for everyday working, losing maybe couple of decodes is nothing.

Arvo-san, Thanks for the advice. With the recommended settings, the Lag is now within 3 second with 104 decode. It seems this PC is not enough. btw, this is a screenshot of the 107 decode. tnx agn & 73, Hisami

Reduce bandwidth , make waterfall narrower currently 4100 Hz 3300 should be enough and set Start to 100 Hz, you shold see some 15 % less decoding time. Arvo

Arvo-san,
Thanks for the attention. I usually set up about 100 to 3000 Hz. This time, I wanted to find a lot. so spread it as wide as I could.

Arvo
Are the WAV files compatible between JTDX and WSJT-X? I've tried compare the decoding capability between the two and each seems to only work with the WAV samples provided with each program.

16bit audio files are compatible, wsjt-x does not have 32bit audio.
