Why doesn't JTDX have a contest option like the one available in WSJT? Because the team that developed the fork of WSJT-X decided to make a version for 'DX', therefore the name JTDX. And contest is always a competition with 'high power will win'. Contrary to the idea of 'software for weak signals'.
And last but not least: 'it's their software, therefore their rules'

Don't' confuse "weak signal" with QRP. Weak signal just means lousy reception/transmission regardless of power.
