I tried to search this question on the forum but couldn't find an answer.
I would like to update JTDX from 2.2.156 to 2.2.158 Is it enough to install the new version on top or do you have to follow a particular procedure? (Clean installation?). Thank you

Hi Alfio.
I recommend you perform a clean installation so the new updates or modifications you make will be reflected.- Delete the jtdx.ini or cut and paste in a folder in case you have to go back to the old version and only then paste it again.-
Before uninstalling, make a backup of your qso (log) maybe screenshots of the settings (radio, colors, ect.)

Hi Edmundo, I followed your instructions: log backup, delete the .ini file, screenshot of the setting.
I have installed version 2.2.158 but a strange thing occurs: at the first start the header bar was not seen in the reception window, while today it reappeared. When I try to start the program DOES NOT START, if I click again it tells me that it finds another instance. I have to open Task manager and terminate the instance and then click on retry.

You assume that you uninstalled the old version and then installed the new version?
If the big letters problem still persists, maybe you should go back to the old version 157, I think it is preparing a version in which that problem is corrected. But you tell me that there are more jtdx processes and you should kill the task manager. It's weird since it only runs one instance.-
