Greetings. I have JTDX running well on several other computers, so I know how to install it and use it. On one particular Win10 laptop I am unable to run the app. It crashes upon starting, I am presented with the following info:
JTDX has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
And of course, no solution is offered, I don't even know how M$ will contact me about this...
So I go looking thru the Windows Event Logs (First thing I was taught to do as a Sys Admin) and find an entry in the Windows Application Log:
Event - Application Error Faulting Application Name JTDX.EXE Blah Blah Blah geek speak More Blah Blah Faulting Module Path ... QT5CORE.DLL
How do I further diagnose this problem and fix it on this machine?

Try renaming C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\JTDX\JTDX.ini
Then start JTDX and see if it works. It will be a new configuration.

Why didn't I think of that?
Thank you so much, it worked.
